Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Klava (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree to these Terms, please don't use Klava.

These Terms apply to your use of Klava on any iOS device.

License to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Download and install Klava on your personal iOS devices
  • Use Klava for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • Access features you've purchased or unlocked through subscriptions

Your Responsibilities

When using Klava, you agree to:

  • Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Not attempt to circumvent any purchase requirements or access restrictions
  • Not redistribute or resell the App

Intellectual Property

Klava, including its original code, design, unique themes, and graphics, is owned by us and protected by applicable copyright laws.

Your Content: Everything you type using Klava belongs to you. We have no claim to your content whatsoever. As stated in our Privacy Policy, we never see, store, or access what you type.

Purchases & Subscriptions

Free Features

Klava's core keyboard functionality, word predictions, gesture controls, and basic customization are available for free.

One-Time Purchases

Certain themes and advanced features are available as one-time purchases. These purchases are permanent and non-refundable (except as required by law).

Available themes: Sail, Classic

Subscriptions

Klava Pro subscriptions (monthly or yearly) provide access to all premium themes (including Sail and Classic) and features.

  • Billing: Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime through your App Store account settings
  • Refunds: Handled by Apple according to their refund policy
  • Price Changes: We'll notify you of any subscription price changes

Payment Processing

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Apple handles billing, payment processing, and refunds according to their terms and policies. We don't have access to your payment information.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Klava is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy of word predictions or suggestions
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Compatibility with future iOS versions

We strive to provide the best keyboard experience, but like all software, Klava may have bugs or limitations. We continuously work to improve the app through updates.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use Klava
  • Any unauthorized access to your device
  • Any bugs, errors, or inaccuracies in the App
  • Any interruption or cessation of the App

iOS Requirements

Minimum Requirement: Klava requires iOS 17.6 or later and works on iPhone and iPad.

You're responsible for ensuring your device meets these requirements. We may discontinue support for older iOS versions in future updates.

Full Access Permission

Certain features (themes, haptics, sounds, cursor control) require Full Access permission. By enabling Full Access, you acknowledge that:

  • This is required by iOS for keyboard apps to access advanced features
  • Klava does not abuse this permission (see our Privacy Policy)
  • You can revoke Full Access anytime, though some features will stop working

Updates & Changes

We regularly update Klava to add features, fix bugs, and improve performance. Updates may:

  • Add or remove features
  • Change the user interface
  • Modify how certain features work
  • Require newer iOS versions

Continued use of Klava after updates constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Termination

By You: You can stop using Klava anytime by deleting the app from your device. Subscriptions can be canceled through App Store settings.

By Us: We reserve the right to discontinue Klava or any of its features at any time, though we'll provide reasonable notice when possible.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or via email (if you've provided one). Continued use of Klava after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Apple App Store Requirements

You acknowledge that:

  • These Terms are between you and us, not Apple
  • Apple has no obligation to provide support for Klava
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to Klava
  • Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them
  • You must comply with Apple's terms of service when using Klava

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
